Mulit-Table Poker
I played two tables simultaneously for the first time tonight. I did OK at the $2/$4 limit tables bringing in $77 over 228 hands. It is a rush and I definitely like playing that way as it keeps me from getting distracted with other thing (the Interweb, blogosphere, work, etc.). You don't have time to open other windows or browse around. It also enforces your starting hand play. If its not a decent starting hand, fold it and move on - no more pushing borderline hands like K10s into a raise because you have folded your last 12 hands.
I have no idea how someone could realistically keep track of and play WELL on 4+ tables, but I read about players doing all the time. Maybe as you get used to the multi-tasking aspect of it gets easier. I also understand that these guys are doing it with very large screens, at a desk, with no outside distractions. I am doing this laying on my back in bed with a laptop over a somewhat lame wireless connection.
This is going to ruin me for normal (slower-paced) B&M play and house games.
