Holiday Poker

Not much on the poker front these days, I still have not played a single hand on Party, and I am still pissed about them gipping me out of my bonus. I continue to play on bet365poker.com grinding it out on the low limit tables and padding my bankroll.

Note to self - stop trying to think you can play when you are hammered. It is -EV for your poker fund.





We did have a family game of NL after the Christmas Chaos settled down. We started at 10:30pm on Christmas day (night) and played until about 2:00am. Everyone was well lubricated before we sat down, so I knew there would be a lot of action. Actually I knew there would be a lot of action because these games are typically no-fold-em hold-em games.

We only had 6 players, so instead of playing a short tournament, we decided to just play a ring game. I started off hot, hitting a full house early and taking down a monster pot, but as expected in no-fold-em, I had one pot that I am STILL fuming about. My trip 10's got taken down by a 5-3 spade flush. My sister-in-laws response to my question regarding how can you call a pre-flop raise, a raise on the turn, and a another on the river with the 5 and 3 of spades? "They were soooooted".
Shoot me. I got it all back and then some, I even covered Mrs. Sponges losses so it was a decent night. Everyone had fun.

It made me jones for another big tournament though. I want to host a 30+ tourney again. I want to go to Atlantic City. I REALLY want to go back to Vegas.
