Back to bet365

I was getting frustrated with party Poker, so I moved back to bet365.com. It felt like putting on an old leather jacket – I was very much at ease. I started with a $2+.50 SNG and finished 1st, then another, and another. I have played 6 tournaments – 4 1st place finishes, one 3rd place and 1 9th place. The 9th place finish is a result of a bottle of wine consumed before playtime – I broke my cardinal rule of not drinking while playing and I paid the price.

Regardless, this helped my bankroll considerably. I had originally taken out $100 to move to party poker, leaving me with a mere $30 in my bet365 account, but now I am up to $85 and having a hell of a lot more fun. I only have 2 weeks left before I head to Vegas for the WSOP satellite tournament and I needed a confidence boost like this.

Mike, good move on Poker Room, Party Poker is inundated with sharks. It has lost a bit of it’s appeal. I honestly believe that online play has just gotten a lot better over the past 6 months. People have wised up and are playing much better. It will be a few years before the “trend” dies down again and you have a real shot at any money. Until then, we have to buckle down and just play very disciplined poker. I will still play on Party, and you should come back once your bankroll is repaired. Those $10+1 tables are still the best thing out there and there is some good poker playing on those tables.
