The Sponge is Back.

I kind of hinted around the fact that I got “fixed” in my last post, and that I had been laid up as a result. Everyone I have talked to that has had the procedure done, or known others who have, all say that it was quick, simple, and that they were on their feet again with no pain within a couple of days. This is of course with the exception of the dumbasses who try go play golf or softball the day after their surgery and end up with nads the size of grapefruits.

Leave it to me to be the one in 10,000 cases to end up with an infection and all sorts of pain, the likes of which I wouldn’t wish on Hellmuth himself. So, after massive doses of antibiotics and a weeks worth of wearing a jock 2 sizes too small I am almost back to ‘normal’ and can walk in a straight line for 15 paces without having to perform any “adjustments”.

TMI, I know. Deal.

It has been 10 days since my last hand of poker, my soul is in pain. The last time I played was a dealer’s choice home game on my Father-in-laws birthday at their house. I was able to double up, but my wife’s losses broke us even.
