Vegas Poker Rooms?
I originally posted this as a comment to Iggy’s blog, but just realized how dumb that was as he won’t be able to reply. Also, I want to get as much help with this as I can so I wanted to ask everyone…
I will be in Vegas next week – please recommend any and all good poker room experiences. This will be my first "casino live poker", so take it easy on me (insert home game hero Tile reference here). I have heard that the Bellagio is top-notch, but I don't want to get eaten alive by a bunch of sharks either.
Any advice you can offer is greatly appreciated.
My plane leaves in 153 hours.

Hi Andy, this is Mike.
Glad to hear your medical problems are going well, i truly wish you and your family the best.
In Vegas, just remember to always tip the dealer a buck or so after winning a pot. They get paid shit and make most of their money off of tips. This, of course, is another advantage to playing online.
The Bellagio has the most tables and poker action in Vegas, everyone knows this (including the casino) so you may not get the best deals/rakes there and the tables may be pretty full all the time. Just look around, the lesser known casino's will have more fish and lighter rakes.
Enjoy your time there, it sounds like it will be a blast.
Personally, when at casino's i tend to not play poker. While i think i am strong as calculating outs, pot odds, and recognizing betting patterns; i realize my weaknessin that i would have a ton of phyical tells in real life. During hands online i fidget, sweat, get a faster heart rate (makes me flush a little), and all sorts of other stuff i cant control that would give me away. Just goes to show a good internet player can suck in real life and vice versa.
That being said, i like to play craps. Instead of having to play a grim poker face all night and hoping your peers suck and lose, in craps you can cheer for the shooter and all win together against the house. The social aspect of it all is much more appealing... plus, the cocktail waitresses always go to the craps table first!
