Help with Blinds?

So last night I did not do so well as far as my winnings were concerned, but I stuck to my guns for the most part and played solid poker. I was down about 27% after 2 hours and I only tilted once after my set of 7's got beat by a set of 10's. But it was a brief tilt and gained only one hand that I though I did not tilt, I played very few hands and I thought I played well overall. Normally after 2 hours in a ring game I would be up or down 200-300% based mostly on how lucky I got with the cards.

I think I am making steps in the right direction but I am still having trouble with the blinds. I get committed too easily because of money I have already committed to the pot. I call the small blind with 1 gap connectors off suit and find myself staying in if it gets raised to see the flop. I need more discipline!

I played again tonight and started out crazy. I found myself playing crazy-loose but finally tightened up after I realized what I was doing. I got down about 35% before I caught myself and finally got back up to a 20% gain. I know Mike Caro would be having a fit about me trying to "manufacture a winning streak", but lets be real I am one in a row right now and 20% is nothing to write home about playing the stakes I am at. I just need a couple of winning nights to build my confidence...

You know Sponge, this post is an interesting subject when put in that context. It's amazing how many blogs out there are devoted to how to win at poker, casinos, how to win at this and that and the like. Like so many people I love my poker either online or just playing with friends at home I put up a small site to how to win at poker to try and fund my playing experience, anyway on I surf from blog to blog to see what other people think of this funny world we all live in. Keep it up people are reading!!
